Reduce gift-giving stress around the holidays
The busiest time of the year is just around the corner. :) We (PostNL, the Dutch postal service & I) are already busy and it is only getting busier and busier. Super cool of course, but it does mean that it can take longer before you receive your package. Do you want to receive your presents on time this year? Read my tips here!
How quickly you receive your package depends on me, it depends on PostNL, but you can also help a hand.
- Order well in time. Check your calendar when you need the presents and order well in advance.
- Order during the week. Orders are often (which is understandable) placed on the weekend, but that means I have a lot of weekend orders to process on Monday. And I notice that PostNL is also extra busy on Mondays, because so many weekend orders are shipped. Parcels that I send on Mondays are sometimes not even processed by PostNL because of the crowds there. If you order during the week, I can process your order faster and so does PostNL.
- (Dutch delivery addresses only) When ordering, choose to pick up at a nearest PostNL location. This can be a location close to home, but also close to work or wherever you come in the area. You don't have to wait at home, but can pick up your package when it suits you (but within 7 days, otherwise it will be returned to sender).
- (Dutch delivery adresses only) Do you have the package delivered to your home, but it turns out that you can't be home after all? When your package has been handed over to PostNL, you can still opt for delivery to a PostNL location via the PostNL app.
My shipping policy is: shipping within 1 to 3 business days. Normally I ship after 1 business day, but keep in mind that I need those 3 working days in these last months of the year. If you stick to the above, you should be fine and you can live relaxed towards the holidays. ^_^ No holidays gift-giving stress for you!
